Scoring

The tournament will use the 3-point system: 3 points for a win, 1 point for a tie and
no point for a loss.

There will be NO extra points for goals scored.
In the event of a multiple way tie: Tie breaker rules will be used to determine the
top team.

Goal Differential Cap:
For the purposes of determining group standing tiebreakers, a maximum goal
differential of 6 will be awarded per match. For example, if the maximum goal
differential is six (6), a final score of 7–0 will be recorded and 6 goals awarded in
the count for goal differentials should it be needed. A final score of 8–2 will be
recorded as a 8–2 result and 6 goals awarded for the goal differential.

Prior to the start of each game, each team must present players, player cards and a team roster to the assigned referee. The head referee will keep a the roster and return player cards at the end of the match. Failure of a team to present players, player cards and team roster within 10 minutes of a scheduled kick-off will be considered to have forfeited the game. A forfeit will be recorded as a 2-0 win. No jewelry will be allowed. All players must wear shin pads.

Teams will play a ‘Golden Goal’ overtime not to exceed 2 halves of 5 minutes each with the first team to score deemed the winner. If at the end of both overtime periods the game remains tied, the game will be decided by kicks from the mark in accordance with the FIFA Laws of the Game.

In order to keep the games on schedule, the referees, at the discretion of the tournament director, may reduce the length of the game before the game starts by reducing the halves by equal parts. A preliminary game can end in a tie.

The Home Team will be the team which appears first on the game schedule. The Home Team will be required to switch to an alternate jersey to accommodate a color conflict as declared by the referee. If the home team cannot supply an alternate jersey, the Home Team may wear pennies/training vests as an alternate
jersey. In the event the Home Team does not have alternative jersey or pennies, the visiting team may change their jersey to de-conflict color or wear their training vests/pennies. Jackets or hoodies may be worn underneath the uniform but the hood cannot be exposed.

Delays of the game due to injury will result in appropriate time being added to the full game time, based on the judgment of the referee. However, all preliminary games will be terminated not less than five (5) minutes prior to the start of the next scheduled game.

Only the players and coaches are to be allowed on the players’ side. All spectators must be on the opposite side of the field across from their team. No spectators will be allowed behind either goal. Referees will have the final decision based on tournament field layout, on which side is to be for spectators and which side is to be for players and coaches.
